Start
2022.08.13 - Brandinshoot Silvie - Schoo

Have you already tried many things in your recovery, but you’re still not moving forward? Or tried normal exercise but that hasn't given you the improvements you were looking for? Or maybe there were a few things that have helped so far, but you're ready to reduce your symptoms faster?

You're dreaming of enjoying life and finally feeling yourself again...

But you are not moving forward the way you want to...

At this moment you feel that...

✔️ Most doctors can't help. They don't believe you, you're getting misdiagnosed, sending you home to rest, or prescribing medicines that do more harm than good.

✔️ You lose yourself on the internet in the information that actually does not apply to your situation. You want to stop "just doing something", but take control of your recovery with the right tools and knowledge.

✔️ You're ready for the next step. You're done running from appointment to appointment, hearing different advice from different doctors over and over again.

✔️ You're getting so overwhelmed by all the different possibilities out there that you don't start or try anything at all.

✔️ You're done with the ups and downs that come with concussion recovery. Sometimes, you feel on top of the world and the next day, out of the blue, you're totally off, and you have no idea why. You're ready for a balance between doing things and rest.

✔️ You first wanted to move forward by yourself, but you notice that you still miss the correct knowledge to do so. You want to be able to rely on your body in every situation, enjoy the process of healing and gain more control over it.

welcome

You are totally ready to reduce your symptoms

I believe that everyone can improve their symptoms no matter their situation.

Moreover, I believe that concussion recovery doesn't have to take years of struggles and suffering, but that you can do something about that today.

By applying specific interval training and cognitive exercises specially designed for people with a concussion, you can get more confidence, notice the first improvements and finally feel empowered again.

I developed my 2 courses especially for concussion survivors who are motivated to get better and believe in new changes and opportunities.

This is especially for you if you feel there is more out there for you.

You don't want to get stuck in that trial & error phase for too long, you don't want to try to figure out everything by yourself anymore.

Above all, you want to take action and immediately go 200% for getting your life back.

You want to...

✔️ Reduce your headaches and fatigue?

✔️ Gain control back over your fight/flight response?

✔️ Reduce your anxiety and make it more manageable?

✔️ Calm down your brain and nervous system?

✔️ Get more energy?

✔️  Improve your sleep?

✔️  Get back hope and motivation?

About me

Compressed.jpg

Hi! I am Silvie, 31 years old and in May 2017, I had a scooter accident, which caused me whiplash and concussion. That day, I went home after the accident, not knowing I’d just walked into a new life.

"I was constantly torn between "I can't let this concussion ruin my life" and "I have to listen to my body and rest".

I struggled for years to find the right help and understand what was going on with me. The regular doctors I visited couldn't address my symptoms.

In all those years I was Googling to find experts who could help me. I was missing the correct knowledge to move forward.

After years of struggle, I am back to feeling my old self again (85%). I realized so many others on this journey are struggling with the same thing. And I don't want that to happen!

In June 2019, I went to Cognitive FX (concussion center in Utah)...

Where I learned everything about Interval Training and Cognitive Exercises. It changed my life (and the life of many others). Was it just lucky that I could go there? That's not how I see it. I saved every penny and pushed through my symptoms to earn enough to get there. It was a combination of desire and hope. But I do realize not everyone is able to go there.

That's why I created my interval and cognitive course where..

I could bring together the two game-changers in my recovery (and for many others), to help people suffering from post-concussion symptoms reduce their symptoms faster. Just to make recovery more affordable and accessible for everyone.

Let's move forward in your journey instead of trying to figure out everything by yourself.

Introducing my Cognitive & Interval Course

Why are cognitive exercises so helpful after a concussion?

Cognitive exercises help you to stretch your brain muscles. After sustaining a concussion, some connections may have fallen out of use or are not working properly anymore. Some "roads" in your brain are damaged, the highway is gone, and it's draining energy to reach a destination. These specific cognitive exercises will help you restore the "roads"; your brain just needs the right push to recover, known as neuroplasticity.

What's inside the course?

In this cognitive course, I will guide you through my 15 most effective exercises (specially designed for people with a concussion) and give you more inspiration to continue doing them consistently. I will take you by the hand, so you don't have to figure it all out by yourself. I will guide you step by step without making you feel overwhelmed. Let's activate your brain again!

The best order: start with interval training followed by cognitive exercises.

But what is interval training?

Interval training are short bursts of intense exercise alternated with recovery periods. In our case, the breathing exercise that you will learn about in the course

Two reasons why it's more effective for a concussion than a normal workout:

1. Every time you do interval training, you get a boost of neurotransmitters, proteins, and oxygen in the brain.

All those are helpful but the most helpful neurochemical for people with a concussion is the: Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF).  Interval training is by far the fastest and most efficient way to maximize a BDNF boost.

2. The fight-flight system and the "rest and digest" system are out of balance.

Intervals and the breathing exercises will help the rest system to become more active.

The best order: start with interval training followed by cognitive exercises.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I choose your courses instead of sessions with a physical and cognitive therapist?

My courses are a combination of interval training and cognitive training, especially designed for people with a concussion to get maximum results. Instead of doing multiple sessions with a physical therapist, you also need to do sessions with a cognitive therapist who specializes in concussions.

This program saves you:

  • time from finding the right therapists who know what they are doing

  • money because a single session may already cost more than $50

  • (travel) stress, time and energy because you don’t have fixed appointments to travel to over and over again

In what format are your courses available? Can I print everything?
Both courses are online courses and available in video or text format (so you can choose what works best for you). You can also print the course (and read the text) if screen time bothers you. There is a PDF format available on the first page of the courses. Exception: Week one of the interval course (Dr. Jessica's part) is only available in video format (not in text format). But don't worry, you can listen to the video instead of watching it. Also, the bonus modules to relax (meditation/yoga) can't be printed.

Screens are hard for me to handle. What is your advice?

I totally get it. I had a hard time handling screens as well. That's why I tried to make your recovery easier. Instead of searching for information yourself, I did this for you. I offer all the knowledge you need to know about cognitive exercises and interval training into these courses. I did my best to make them simple and easy to watch. You can listen to most of them or read/print the text (see answer above).

Can I watch the videos from the courses over and over again?
Yes, all videos from the interval and cognitive courses are recorded, so you can watch them at your own pace.

When can I start the courses?
After the purchase, you get an email with unlimited access to the 2 courses. So you can start right away.

For who are those courses?

For concussion (TBI) survivors who:

- Feel stuck and feel they are not getting the correct knowledge or recognition from their doctor(s).
- Can’t exercise and have already tried multiple ways of exercising but don't feel the benefits.

- Have been busy searching for a while to find more information about how to heal their concussion but still do not feel they are moving forward.

- Have an open mindset, believe in new changes and opportunities.

- Feels there is more out there, that this isn't it.

Do you give medical advice?

I don’t give medical advice, everything is based on what I learned from concussion experts, experiences with other people who followed these exact steps, and my own experience. If you still have questions and I doubt answering your questions I will discuss it with a physical or cognitive therapist.
By remaining in this course, you are accepting that you have read, understood, and agreed to my disclaimer

What do I need to start with the interval course?

In order to do the interval training, it would be great if you arrange the following things:
- Your gym outfit
- Your motivation ;)

- Optional: a heart rate monitor. I have this one: click here.
- Optional: a stopwatch (which is on your phone)

What do I need to start with the cognitive exercise course?

There are a few things you need to do all exercises:

- Post-its

- A tennis ball (or any other ball)

- A balance board (optional, we can also do the exercise by standing on one leg). I have this one: Click here
- A deck of playing cards

Do I get lifetime access to everything?

Yes! You get lifetime access to my 2 courses: 5-week cognitive exercise course and my 2-week interval course.

What does your courses get me?

After following my 2 courses, you will know how to do the interval training and the cognitive exercises and will notice your first improvements. You'll be done with struggling and trying to find out everything by yourself. You’ll finally feel you're on the right path toward healing and confident and hopeful about the future.
